This webinar will provide an overview of JETS popular 12-session course for Hebrew School students about the Holocaust.
Remembering and Rebuilding – This 12 session course begins by thinking about the power and importance of memory. With the support of online tools and multi-media, students explore the experiences and responses of European communities to the events of the 1930s, culminating with the genocide of the Shoah. Students are challenged to think about and analyze history, to create meaningful ways of commemorating and sharing the Shoah and to think about all future genocides and current events through the lens of the Shoah. The course ends with exploring how the remnants of Holocaust survivors rebuilt their lives and contributed to the founding of the modern State of Israel.
